I got this on Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack also so I could watch it on the big screen in English & Japanese :) It's definitely different from the original DIC dub but not in a bad way (plus the original will always be there for you, if you prefer it) I think this is perfect for any Sailor Moon fan or anyone wanting to start the series in English! Also don't forget to check out Sailor Moon R (season 2), Sailor Moon S (3rd), SuperS (4th) & Stars (5th/final season, never before released in the U.S./in English) Plus you can't forget about the 3 movies that will likely come out after all the seasons? The First Half of the First Season Re-dubbed by Viz
Overall I am very pleased with this new dub from Viz Media, it is very well done. Just an FYI though when you purchase the season it is only half of the season consisting of the first 23 episodes so you'll have to purchase the second half when it becomes available.

Now for what everyone is dying to know. How is the voice cast? If you haven't seen any of these re-dubbed episodes I'll be honest that Stephanie Sheh as Usagi/Sailor Moon takes some getting used to. I had hoped that Terri Hawkes or even Tracey Moore would return to voice her. Alas nobody reprised their roles. I'm not saying that Stephanie Sheh is bad It's just different than what I expected. She is way better than Linda Ballantyne. She actually sounds more like what one would expect a crybaby teenager to sound like. Annoying. But in a good way, if that makes sense. As for the rest of the cast I really like them so far. Michelle Ruff is phenomenal as Luna and Kate Higgins is great as Ami/Sailor Mercury she...

Wonderful season. The creator picked the voice actors. I grew up with the 90 's one and I love both. If you want to find the 90's dub it is on a site called kissanime.com. it's the only place I have been able to find the 90's dub.
